The CSTA Board of Directors is excited to present this year’s slate of candidates for K-8 Teacher Representative, 9-12 Teacher Representative, and At-Large Representative. Candidates went through a thorough vetting process using a rubric created by the Nominations and Elections committee.
Meet the Candidates
CSTA+ members received a ballot from “ElectionBuddy Elections” on Friday, April 16, 2021. Of course, if you are not yet a CSTA+ member, you can upgrade your membership by May 3, 2021, and receive access to a ballot. The election process will close on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
This year, we are changing our voting process. We have changed CSTA Board policy to select up to three candidates for the election ballot. In order to create an equitable process, we are moving from a plurality vote to a preferential ballot. We ask that you rank candidates in the order of one, two, and three. The system will total all scores until one candidate reaches a majority. You can learn more about preferential voting by visiting the ElectionBuddy website.
If you do not receive your ballot or have questions about the election process, please contact nominations@csta-hq.org.
