CSTA Affinity Groups connect CSTA members who share a common identity or interest. These spaces provide members with an additional place to belong and grow. CSTA Affinity Groups host events, connect year-round via the CSTA Virtual Community, and offer opportunities for members to meet with one another at CSTA’s in-person and virtual events.

How to Start an Affinity Group
Notice a missing Affinity Group? Apply to start a new group! We’ll ask you to outline group goals, share the names of additional interested leaders, and commit to ongoing engagement. We review these applications on a rolling basis and look forward to welcoming new affinity groups to CSTA!
Why You Should Join an Affinity Group
Affinity groups create space for connection and help members find their community within CSTA. Affinity Groups commit to the following each year:
- Host two events per year
- Host two meetups per year, including one held during a Summit
- Host a meetup at conference
- Create community year-round through the Virtual Community space
- Share resources
